Sunshine Coast

23.01.06 - 23.01.06 - Sunshine Coast

Went camping with Tai San and a couple of Japanese friends, Makiko and Kaori on the Sunshine Coast. Was as hot as hell. We spent the first night at a place called Cotton Tree near Maroochydore.

Was a pretty good surf spot right out the front of the caravan park which I scored nice little wave late arvo and early morning.

On tuesday we went to Noosa Heads and had a poke around after coping a parking fine we went to a national park cooked some lunch and headed to Coolum where we spent the night.

After a late arvo surf at Coolum we cooked up a storm and had a few beers on the beach and an early night. Woke up at god damn 4.45am to the sound of a million birds screeching but watched the sunrise which was awesome had a swim as the surf was crap packed up the campsite and headed home.

Was a short little trip but really fun! Was good to kick back have a couple of beers and re-charge the batteries.

Tai San's Welcome Home

Tai San's Welcome Home

Surfers Paradise - 19.01.06

After traveling around Australia for five months my good friend Tai San (from Korea) arrived home after hitchhiking from Dubbo.

We went to the Shack in Surfers Paradise with a few other friends and all consumed our fair share of drinks!!!

Was a fun night which ended with a messy kebab in the wee hours of the morning. Was good to catch up with him again!

13.01.06 - Xavier Rudd - Southport

Another awesome show! Although the Southport R.S.L is a bit crap of a venue Xavier Rudd is so damn good it didn't matter.
He is an amazing musician. He plays a heap of different instruments all at once. If you get a chance to see him, do it! He will blow your mind.
He played a lot of his new album which I really like and a few of his older ones as well.
A lot of his songs are about things we should all be conscious of, the environment, respect for different races and peace! A real awesome night!!!

John Butler Trio

11.12.05 - John Butler Trio - Brisbane

Absolutely awesome concert!!!! The night started off a bit average after waiting in a massive line to get in we were told we had to swap our computer printed tickets for real ones. Another short line and then the massive one again we finally got in just before the second opening act finished.

John was fantastic!!! Man can he play guitar! Sent chills down my spine a few times. The energy in the place was awesome. A real good vibe. Beautiful warm night and a super mellow crowd.

Turns out that this was the biggest crowd they have ever played in front of at one of their own gigs. Was glad to be there and suggest that if anyone gets a chance to see these guys, do it! A great show that will leave you feeling positive!!
